Consultation

For Therapist

Most of us aren't trained to recognize dissociation and that is costing our clients.

Dissociation doesn't always look like what we were taught. It doesn't always mean blank staring or lost time. It can look like your most articulate, engaged, high-functioning client. Someone who is present on the surface but somewhere else entirely underneath.

If you've ever wondered whether you're missing something in the room, you probably are. Not because you're a bad clinician but because the training most of us received was inadequate.

WHAT I OFFER THERAPISTS

I am passionate about supporting clinicians who want to work more effectively with dissociation and developmental trauma. My education for therapists is grounded not in theory but in the lived experience of what dissociation actually feels like from the inside, what clients need when they're in it, and what helps versus what makes it worse.

I offer:

  • Consultation for therapists working with dissociative clients, including DID and OSDD systems

  • Training and educational resources on recognizing and responding to dissociation in clinical settings

  • Instagram content at @dawn.warren.counseling designed to build dissociation literacy in the therapy community

WHO THIS IS FOR

This is for therapists who:

  • Suspect dissociation may be present in their caseload but aren't sure how to identify or address it

  • Are working with a client whose presentation feels complex or hard to read

  • Want to expand their capacity to work with developmental trauma

  • Have a client with a DID or OSDD diagnosis and want support in how to approach your work

You don't need a specialty in dissociation to reach out. You just need to be curious and willing to slow down.
